About AQT
At AQT we build quantum computers. Founded in Innsbruck, Austria, in 2018, we aim to bring quantum technologies out of the laboratory environment and turn them into everyday products. Our goal is a quantum computer based on trapped ions that is installed in normal IT infrastructure and can be readily operated from any PC. We provide quantum technology for research laboratories and super-computing centers. To our industrial customers, we offer quantum solutions through partnerships with leading quantum software firms. For our team in Innsbruck, we are now looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join us as a Full-stack Software Developer.

Your Role
As a Full-stack Software Developer you will be a leading contributor to the growing AQT software stack. As such, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software that runs on our quantum computers, as well as designing and implementing user interfaces for our customers. To succeed in this role, you will need to work closely with a team of physicists and software engineers to integrate new algorithms and technologies with our quantum computing systems. This will require you to have a deep understanding of software development best practices, including clean, efficient, and well-documented code. To achieve these goals, you will be driving the entire software lifecycle - from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. In addition to software development, you will also be expected to work on a variety of projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines. This may include contributing to the development of internal tools and infrastructure to support the company's overall goals. As a Full-stack Software Developer, you will be at the forefront of the quantum computing industry, pushing the boundaries of what is possible with cutting-edge technologies. Your Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test full-stack software for computing services
Develop, test, deploy, and maintain user interfaces for AQT quantum computers
Design, develop, and manage databases that store web application's data
Develop internal tools and infrastructure to support the company's overall goals, such as automating software builds and deployments
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work to ensure that project deadlines are met
Drive DevOps throughout the entire software life cycle
Write well-structured, documented, and tested code
Collaborate with stakeholders inside and outside the software team
Continuously improve yourself and how we operate as a team

Your Qualifications
3+ years of experience in systems software development
Preferably a master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
Strong programming skills in languages like Python and Typescript
Experience in database management and data base management systems like PostgreSQL
You are familiar with modern front-end and back-end frameworks and technologies such as React or FastAPI
Familiarity with version control systems like Git
Curiosity and drive to tackle and solve complex problems
Love to work in a collaborative environment with highly-skilled colleagues
Strong communication skills in spoken and written English

Your salary
Austrian law stipulates that the formal minimum salary of EUR 41 691.44 per year, according to Collective Bargaining Agreement, must be specified in job postings. Commensurate to your experience and skills, your salary can be significantly higher.
