In this role, you as a team lead, project manager and product owner establish together with your team a highly available system - from technical design to delivery and maintenance to ensure a safe and smooth journey for millions of train passengers. To strengthen the management team at the office in Vienna we are looking for a Team Lead Software-Development (f/m/x)Career opportunity - Train Control Systems YOUR FUTURE ROLEThe experts of your team develop solutions that support 85 million passenger journeys in mainline and inner-city rail traffic worldwide every day. In this role, you manage the successful completion of customer projects for train control systems with a focus on automation and diagnostics. In an international environment, you can fully exploit your organizational talent, your communicative strengths and your pronounced solution orientation. Your tasks in detail: Lead a team of ~6 highly motivated and skilled developers (skill, competence and resource management) As product owner you are part of a scrum team and leader of ~12 developers and testers. Multi-project management for local and international projects in the field of diagnostics Planning and execution of technical solutions with clear focus on quality, time and budget Planning of the related resources (next sprint, next quarter, next year) Ensure project reporting and report consolidated results periodically in a matrix organization Close collaboration with project and product management, quality, operations and other stakeholders and suppliers Ensure relevant documentation and cooperation with Quality Management. After an intense onboarding phase, you are the designed deputy for the head of department. JOB REQUIREMENTSTechnical degree preferable in Informatics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar work experience 5+ years experience in project management of large development projects in an industrial sector such as the railway sector or the automotive industry is ideal; experience in other sectors with safety-critical aspects such as banking or insurance is also possible. Experience in the relevant business field (rail and road transport) is a big plus. 5+ years leadership experience (personnel management, e.g. in technical projects or management of teams) Management skills: Thorough knowledge of management principles and practice, and an ability to promote open communication, innovation, and performance. Professional expertise: substantial knowledge of software engineering (Java / Linux), basic knowledge of Linux is a must-have Experience with Docker, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes and/or Jenkins is an advantage Innovative, adaptable and customer-oriented team player Excellent ability to work in a team, great communication skills Very good command of English is a must-have, knowledge of German language is an asset Up to 10% willingness to travel OUR CLIENT OFFERSAn excellent working experience within a professional multinational corporate environment.
