About the Role

Help us accelerate the energy transition and work at the intersection of climate, tech and AI. We're looking for a Python developer to fit into our team to work with us on the challenge of scaling up a microservice architecture.

For our team based in Vienna (1070) we are looking for a full-time:

Senior/Staff Python Developer (all genders)
100% remote possible
What you will be doing
Be part of a newly created team focusing on the implementation of scalable solutions for a microservice architecture
Developing abstractions to ease the implementation for other developers via python libraries
Analyze performance bottlenecks in applications and aid in resolving them
What you will need to succeed
8+ years of experience as a Software developer, with at least the last 4 years in python
Experience with python packaging
Experience with scaling up microservices and distributed system
Technical degree in Computer Science or a similar field
Excellent analytical skills, humor, passion for development of reliable and scalable solutions
You have a good knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL)
Experience with source code management tools (git)
Knowledge of the DevOps workflow (docker, gitlab-ci, kubernetes)
It is a plus if you have experience with
Open-source experience
Experience in Python’s data science libraries (numpy, pandas, scikit-learn)
Data wrangling
OLAP databases (Clickhouse)
Web development (both frontend and backend)
Your personal skills
Initiative and good communication skills
Eager to learn new things
Enthusiastic about sharing knowledge with peers
Open to new ideas as well as suggesting own ideas
