JOB DESCRIPTION –
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer. For us to satisfy our customers and continue our aggressive expansion plans, we must automate every part of our software development process. In this role, you’ll help us achieve our automation goals, contributing hands-on and strategically. The CI/CD Engineer would need to have at least 5+ years of overall IT experience including 5+ years of CI/CD Engineering experience. This role also assists in the ongoing improvement of CI/CD environment provisioning and development workflows. This Candidate must be comfortable with managing Linux systems. As a member of a highly efficient team, the ideal candidate will be able to self-manage, taking a task either individually or as part of the team, and see it through to completion. The CI/CD team is constantly striving to stay current with the latest technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs

Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance

Designing, building, testing, and maintaining the continuous integration and continuous deployment/delivery (CI/CD) process.

Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines

Continually improve CI/CD tools, processes and procedures.

Setup Continuous integration with Jenkins and make use of wide range of plugins available to setup smooth developer friendly workflows.

Build, maintain, and scale infrastructure for Production, QA, and Dev environments.

Develop and maintain Build, Deployment, and Continuous Integration systems.

Participate in ongoing design, implementation, and maintenance of systems and tools across our cloud stack.

Troubleshooting of all application and cloud server level errors in the ALM cycle.

Work closely with Development and QA teams to help ensure end-to-end quality.

Write and maintain infrastructure documentation.

Own incidents/issues and provide level 2 response to infrastructure incidents and alerts.

Collaborating with multiple departments to resolve system, application and customer issues
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

Operating Systems: Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Unix, RHEL, Cent OS, Solaris

Cloud Technologies: AWS, GCP

Monitoring: Newrelic, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus (any one of these)

Continuous Integration: Jenkins

Version control: SVN, GIT

Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes

Application package manager: Helm

Certifications: any certification in above is an advantage
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of overall IT experience.

5+ years of CI/CD Engineering experience with below skill set.

Ability to define scalable CI/CD pipelines.

Experience in installation, integration and configuration of Jenkins CI/CD, including installation of Jenkins plugins.

Excellent knowledge on SVN, GIT and Jira is a must.

Excellent knowledge of Linux systems.

Experience with configuration management.

Experience with code repositories (Git), continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).

Solid understanding of continuous integration, deployment and operations concepts.

Basic understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SSL/TLS, Layer 3 and Layer 7 load balancing, etc.).

System administration exposure.

Cloud solutions knowledge (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) is a plus

Collaborating with multiple departments to resolve system, application and customer issues

A desire to learn new skills.

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information System or any equivalent degree.

Ability to communicate written and verbally in English is a must. German, Japanese is a plus.
