Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

You drive innovation in the fields of image guided and collaborative robotics by identifying and evaluating opportunities in the innovation sweet spot of desirability, feasibility, and viability
You evaluate and develop new concepts/applications to improve the perception of physicians in image guided and collaborative robotic assisted therapies
You lead innovation projects based on input from key customers in an international environment
You are interacting very closely with product management and business development to define future prototypes
You build test setups and application prototypes, using artificial intelligence and new container architectures

Your qualifications and experience:

You have either a university degree in either physics with a focus on x-ray image generation and processing or a university degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline with a focus on medical imaging and/or collaborative or cooperative robotics, both ideally followed by a PhD
You have many years of relevant experience in the field of engineering or software development in healthcare or robotics
You have good programming skills (C++, C#, Matlab, Python)
