We are currently looking for a Project Manager – Software to join our Digital and Access Solutions (DAS) business. This role will report to the Director Program Management DAS EMEIA.

What you would do as Project Manager

As the successful candidate, you’ll be responsible for the management and delivery of key projects across our business, from Electronic Access Control systems to Wireless Door Locks and key-based Digital Cylinders. You’ll work collaboratively within a cross-functional product development team and manage stakeholders, both external and internal within the ASSA ABLOY organisation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to experience the entire development lifecycle from Pre-Product Innovation to launch of new Electromechanical products (Cloud-based Electronics Access Control Software and Mobile Apps).

Your core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Being a leader of cross-functional project teams
Achieving project-related quality, time and cost targets
Planning, backlog management & reporting of the project in line with ASSA ABLOY Innovation Gateway process
Management of key stakeholders and steering committees
Execution of regular meetings with the Project Core Team, Operations and specific functional areas
Strong collaboration within the program and dependency management to other projects
Support in continuous improvement of processes and program management tool

The skills and experience you need

In order to excel in this position, we believe that you’ll demonstrate the following:

Bachelor / master’s degree in Engineering, Software Development, Information Technologies, Business Economics, Management or related discipline
A recognised Project Management qualification and/or Agile Product Development certification (Professional Scrum Master, Professional Product Owner, SAFe Consultant, or similar)
Previous, demonstratable Project Management experience within Software Development projects (incl. Product Owner, Scrum Master roles, or similar)
Experience working with a phase gate development process and agile frameworks (SCRUM, SAFe, Less, etc.)
A strong product and technical knowledge in any of the areas Access Control, cloud technologies such as AWS, frontend (Angular, React), CI/CD, DevOps., Mobile App, Security Systems is preferred
Background as Software Developer is preferred
Experience with working and interacting with UX/UI designers
Experience in managing complex projects and task-force teams
Familiarity in working as part of multi-cultural teams, multi-national companies and matrix organisations
High proficiency in all MS Office applications and Jira/Confluence
A proactive attitude and willingness to take on responsibility, ownership and work independently

In addition, you’ll be analytically minded and exhibit strong strategy development and deployment skills and we anticipate the ideal candidate to be the type of person who thrives in the face of challenge, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As our common business language, fluency in spoken and written English is essential (additional language skills are highly advantageous). A willingness to travel within the EMEIA region for this position is also required.
