We are looking for a Backend Developer to join a growing business in Hamburg who are dedicated to improving and digitalizing the overall shipping process through the means of Machine Learning and Smart Controls. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing technical solutions to match the requested functional and non-functional requirements, as well as developing an IoT/AI platform connected to a number of external data sources and sensors built on MS Azure IoT Edge RT.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop an IoT/AI platform connected to several external data sources and sensors, built on MS Azure IoT Edge RT
Develop methods to achieve information dominance by leveraging data from IoT devices, third-party data feeds, in-house data stores, cloud systems, and many other channels
Collaborate with the front-end development team to ensure the back-end solution is integrated seamlessly with the user interface and meets user experience expectations

Skills & Experience:
3+ years of work experience in the field of software business and development
Good interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to work in an international team
Clean and scalable code using .NET (.Net Core/.Net 6) programming language C#. Other programming languages consist of JavaScript, Typescript, and Kotlin,
Experience with Microservices architecture design and development, IoT, IIoT, and cloud/edge architectures, MS unit test/Xunit/Nunit frameworks, MS Azure IoT Stack (e.g. IoT Edge, IoT Hub, Streaming, Analytics, Event Hub), Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions/Web services, Azure DevOps etc.
Experience with databases like MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Influx DB, and Cosmos DB.
