DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with DevOps skills to help build up our Client’s tools in Lausanne.

Our Client’s stated mission is to bring data analytics solutions to market, to support healthcare professionals by maximizing the power of Data-Driven Medicine, combining collective intelligence in Genomics, Radiomics, clinical research data, and Data-Driven-Medicine, ensuring that the data used to help patients today will also benefit the patients of tomorrow.

This is a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service platform analyzing data from multiple modalities and scaling globally to support data-driven medicine adoption.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Build up the Client’s tools, automate the work of gene sequencing scientists
Work with the data for gene matching and preparation for consumption via SaaS or other ways
Continue the development of the APIs that constitute their SaaS solution
Collaborate with adjacent teams
REQUIREMENTS
Expert in one or more the following programming languages: Java, Python, or Node
Back-end API and SaaS solution development experience
Data Engineering experience, preferably with big data
Experienced with in Terraform on Azure
Practical hands-on experience with large-scale enterprise-level solutions, including could-based solutions
Several years of setting up and automating environments for SaaS solutions, preferably on Azure Cloud
Experience with Gitlab CI
Experienced with in Terraform on Azure. Experienced with Containers, Kubernetes and AKS, including using Terraform to set them up
Experience in Azure computing services such as azure batch or Databricks
Very comfortable in a Linux environment
Ability to communicate with non-technical teams
NICE TO HAVE
Good to have workflows such as BPMN, Argo, etc that is also valuable but not at all a must
Experience working with data/Big Data for healthcare including genomics, imaging and EHR
Knowledge of HIPPA and privacy regulations regarding patient data security and/or research related practices
French nice to have, but not at all required, as the company communication language is English
