Hi, I'm Jeremias and I support our IT teams as a Chapter Lead in their self-organisation, development and delivery of stable, high-quality software. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join one of our Scrum teams, who would ensure our software runs smoothly and would pay attention to detail from conception to operation. Your future team takes care of maintenance, feature development and step-by-step migration to a more modern stack of several distributed components. A particular challenge is the focus on continuous releases on both server infrastructure and the Cloud. If you are a CI/CD expert, an enthusiast about detective work and the Java depths, and value code quality - you are the dev we are looking for. ! Your role

You’ll be part of a Scrum team which is responsible for all technical aspects of its software components
You’ll conceptualize and design complex systems and translate them into code
You feel comfortable discussing ideas with both software engineers and stakeholders
You’ll develop mostly in Java environment, but you should also be ready to use new languages and systems and be willing to touch on frontend technologies
Together with the team you refactor a legacy system to migrate it into a micro service based distributed system and run it in the cloud
Together with the team you’ll build microservices from scratch and run them in the cloud

Your qualifications

You actively push automation of processes in the area of DevOps
You ideally have practical experience with search engine development, e.g. Open Search
You’re very familiar with release processes and containerisation
You’ve written excellent software and you know your craft from design to excellent code that is maintainable over time
You’re willing to dive into analysis and debugging and can make complex problems understandable
You actively contribute to the team and can push topics as a team player
You’re passionately interested in new trends in software engineering, want to constantly educate yourself and actively shape the digital future
