The Research Group Knowledge Engineering at the Faculty of Computer Science invites applications for a PostDoc position and expects applicants to take over full responsibility in research and industrial projects. The Research Group offers a highly collaborative research environment.
Extent of Employment: 40 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.
Job Description:
Active participation in research, teaching and administration. This involves
Developing and strengthening the independent research profileInvolvement in research projects / research studiesInternational publications and presentationsResponsibility for project applications and the acquisition of third-party fundingPreparing / writing a (publication-ready) habilitation thesis
Independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreementSupervision of studentsParticipation in evaluation measures and quality assuranceInvolvement in the department administration as well as in teaching and research administration
Profile:
- Doctoral degree/PhD degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related area
Professional competence: excellent knowledge of Ontologies, RDF, CPS, Digital Twins, and Machine Learning Techniques; good knowledge of conceptual Modelling, esp. Metamodelling, knowledge of ADOxx, C++ and/or Java.Didactic competenceHigh ability to express yourself both orally and in writing
Excellent command of written and spoken EnglishIT user skillsAbility to work in a team
In addition, we expect the successful candidate to have
Teaching experience / experience of working with e-learningExperience of working on research projectsPublications in renowned, subject-relevant media (peer-reviewed, depending on the professional standards)International presentation experience
