EyeTech Solutions, a leading recruitment company, is currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our client's team in Luxembourg. This is a freelance position with a 6-month contract and possible extensions. As a Software Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the functional, security, resilience, and confidentiality needs of our clients are met through the testing of our collateral exchange platform used by industry leaders in the financial sector.

Client Details
Our client is a prominent player in the financial sector, utilizing a modern tech stack including Kotlin, Spring Boot, ActiveMQ, Gradle, Ansible, Docker, and Corda. The platform comprises message queues, REST APIs, DLT nodes, and relational databases. With offices in Luxembourg.

Description
As a Software Engineer, your primary responsibility will be designing, implementing, coordinating, and performing tests on our software systems. This encompasses writing integration tests, end-to-end tests, performance tests, resilience tests, and security tests. Additionally, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of test frameworks, stubs, simulators, and other test infrastructure. Working in an agile environment alongside geographically distributed teams, you will engage in frequent communication with remote team members and business partners. Collaboration with external parties may also be required to coordinate test activities. Furthermore, as a member of the tech team, you will participate in an on-call rota to monitor the production system.

Profiles

Master's Degree in Computer Science
Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including databases, concurrency, distributed systems, and security
Demonstrable experience testing complex, distributed software systems with components communicating via REST APIs, message queues, etc.
Experience in performance, resilience, and security testing
Familiarity with various testing frameworks such as Cucumber
Proficiency in developing nontrivial test infrastructure, such as stubs and simulators
Proactive, critical thinking, and strong interpersonal skills
Technological analysis abilities
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment, adapting easily to change
Structured working habits with systematic tracking of tests, inputs, results, and defects
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Blockchain or Distributed Ledger Technologies such as Corda, Hyperledger Fabric, Ethereum
