EyeTech Solutions is currently recruiting a Senior Developer with extensive experience in Python for our client in Luxembourg. This is a freelance contract for 12 months with possible extensions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects in a professional team, and the job is only available for on-site work.

Client Details
Our client, Y, is a leading company in the field of Earth Observation Data. The company specializes in data ingestion, archiving, and dissemination, as well as satellite-derived product processing chains. The successful candidate will work closely with Y's team and contribute to the development of interfaces for repatriation, processing chains for satellite-derived products, job orchestration in an HPC/cloud environment, and the maintenance and improvement of existing applications.

Description
The Senior Developer will be responsible for the following:
Developing interfaces for repatriation, and dissemination of satellite data;
Creating processing chains for satellite-derived products;
Job orchestration in an HPC/cloud environment;
Maintaining and improving existing applications.

Profiles
Candidate's Profile:

Degree in Computer Science or similar;
More than 5 years of experience in a similar position mandatory;
Excellent command of Python;
Excellent command of SQL (PostgreSQL preferred);
Good knowledge of Linux command line;
Good English skills (both spoken and written);
Good command of control version tools (i.e. GitLab, GitHub);
Good command of CD/CI techniques and tools;
Flexibility to handle new tasks and challenges;
Willing to learn;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong teamwork;
Proactive;
Valid work permit for EU.

Being considered as a plus:

Other programming languages (Java, C++, NodeJS, …);
Knowledge of docker and orchestration(i.e. compose, Kubernetes and/or Rancher);
Knowledge of Open Data protocol;
French knowledge.
