At Research Studios Austria Forschungsgesellschaft - RSA FG we work to bring innovations in the field of digital intelligence from Austria's universities to the market. The Research Studio Smart Digital Industries & Services (SDIS) works on Cyber Physical Systems Engineering with a strong focus on IoT. For our applied research work we look for a: Researcher and Developer - (f/m/d) Full time, Vienna Metropolitan AreaWhat you are you going to do?The focus of your work will be the development of distributed systems making use of Cloud and IoT based approaches, often in cooperation with external partners. In producing radically new applications, we often face high uncertainty and respond to such situations by following a lean process of prototyping and measuring in order to stay flexible and learn fast. What do we expect from you?You have a degree in computer science or a related field. Your passion for software & systems engineering encompasses writing good code, finding the right architecture, satisfying the users of your product and following an adequate process. You have strong practical skills in at least one of these technologies/fields and are eager to learn new skills as needed: Python, Node.js, Java DevOps (Kubernetes, Docker, Gitlab CI) IoT Systems Engineering You are capable of thinking critically, arguing rationally and of making and respecting team decisions. You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable using English, speaking to and writing for a range of professional audiences Optionally?You are happy to be exposed to a German speaking Environment. You have experience in code and system documentation You are interested in contributing to scientific publications.
