Then come and join our global team as Software Engineer (f/m/d) for system-oriented programming for data transmission in computed tomography.
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
This position is full-time or part-time with a minimum of 30h/week.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
You will work in an international team and be responsible for system-oriented programming, mainly under Windows or Linux
Your tasks include the implementation, extension, and maintenance of Windows kernel mode drivers (e.g., NDIS Protocol Driver) for high performance data transmission and health monitoring of hardware components (e.g., CPU, GPU, hard disks) within the Image Reconstruction System (IRS)
You will develop sustainable solutions and implement reliable and performant software for high-throughput data receiving and processing
Support and further development of the existing CT data generators for the simulation of data transmission as part of IRS test frame, is also part of your tasks
You will create design and test specifications and ensure the quality of your own software components through the execution of unit tests and test documentation
You will work closely not only with other members of the team, but also with colleagues across the team, such as system feature responsible engineer and engineer responsible for HW components

Your qualifications and experience:
You have successfully completed a Master’s degree in the field of information technology, computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable field
You have several years of professional experience in the field of software development and also have experience in performance-optimized programming in C++/C
You have in-depth knowledge of Windows or Linux system (kernel, driver, memory management, etc.) and processor architecture such as multicore, multi-process, multi-threading
You have good knowledge of network programming (Sockets, TCP/IP, UDP)

You are proficient in oral and written communication in English; knowledge of German is an advantage
