WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for additional support in our Engineering department to help improve our products and platforms and set us up for an even better scalable and secure infrastructure.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Take ownership of developing, operating and monitoring our backend services
As part of a cross-functional team you will implement new services from scratch and develop and improve our existing services
Focus on topics like micro service architecture, service & feature development and monitoring
Collaborate with our Tech Lead and other engineers to craft a secure and scalable backend system
Analyze and solve challenging problems across the code base, databases and infrastructure and continuously optimize our system
Provide mentorship for Junior and Intermediate Engineers on your team to help them grow in their ownership and technical responsibilities

IN ORDER FOR YOU TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

You hold a university degree (BSc or MSc) within Computer Science/Engineering or related field
Significant experience, at least 6 years, in software engineering with a focus on backend technologies and architecture
Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
Have a solid background building high performing micro-services in Node.js, Microservice/Serverless architecture
Are familiar with AWS cloud platform, GraphQL, Kubernetes, Postgres
Experience in designing, developing and documenting APIs and systems
Relevant experience with payment systems or the fintech industry is a big plus
You are well-organized with a high level of attention to detail and quality, always aiming for efficient execution of tasks
You have a positive and resilient attitude, love working both autonomously but also as part of a team, within a fast-paced and flexible startup environment
Fluent in English; other languages are advantageous as we are working in a fully international team

Fair salary package: For this full-time position we offer a minimum salary of 52.220 € gross per year. Your actual salary will be based on your experience and qualification.
