Tell us about your strengths and apply at UNIQA IT Services GmbH (UITS), the IT service provider of the UNIQA Group, as Senior Data Engineer / Java Developer "Data Integration and Big Data" (f/m/d) Purpose of this function:Implementing Enterprise-scale Data Integration and Ingestion Solutions using Big Data Technologies Contributing to an agile Team, which is committed to the fast delivery of high-quality results using the tool stack for ETL, Data Integration and Big Data, together with international colleagues Supporting the Lifecycle of the existing Data Integration applications Transforming the existing tools / frameworks to a holistic "Data-as-a-Service" platform Main TasksImplementation of UNIQA's Data Solutions for Group Finance / Corporate Functions Develops, maintains and tests UNIQA Data solutions "bottom-up" from source (e.g. legacy / mainframe / near real time) to destination (files / interfaces / Data marts) Building up and Improving the Data Solutions for Finance (e.g. IFRS17; Financial Transactions Repository) Implements Change Data Capture pipelines enabling UNIQA using real time data feeds (e.g. Kafka) Improves DevOps routines and procedures Builds data processing systems and ETL pipelines in the Hadoop Ecosystem (Spark, Hive, HBase, Impala, Nifi, et.al) Contributes to Data Governance in terms of enabling Data Lineage, Data Cataloging and Data Modeling Works in a highly motivated interdisciplinary team with different Business stakeholders, Architects, Data Engineers, System Engineers and Data Scientists from both Business and IT Job specific competencies3 years+ Java Development in Enterprise-grade environments as a must High proficiency with Big Data Hadoop/Spark/Hive/HBase/Impala/Kudu ecosystems like Cloudera / Hortonworks Databricks as a must High proficiency in cutting-edge Data Integration & ETL (e.g. Nifi, AirFlow, Talend), as well as Data Replication and Messaging Broker (e.g. Kafka) tools as a must Experience with CICD (Jenkins, Hudson), IaC and DevOps toolstacks (Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes) Experience with setting up applications using Cloud Infrastructure Providers FinTech / Insurance Know-how as a plus Knowledge in different programming or scripting languages like SQL (ANSI and Dialects), Python, R, Perl, Ruby as a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills, in German and English (German as a plus) Excellent team player, able to work in a problem-solving agile environment Knowledge in tools for Data Governance and Data Cataloging (e.g Apache Atlas / Cloudera Navigator) preferred Your core competencies:Action Oriented: We take action and learn from our mistakes Ensures Accountability: We empower each other to take responsibility Collaborates: We collaborate beyond conventional boundaries Finding effective solutions: You aim for simple feasible solutions.
