Which one catches your attention?

TOPIC 1

Investigate and develop health- check functions for chillers and heat pumps. You will learn and use state of the art software development tools like Gitlab for task planning and source code management, Markdown for documenting as well as Office 365. Work in a modern HVAC test lab, where we define chiller experiments, prepare the chiller test plant and execute tests on the plant supervised by chiller experts.

Analysis, presentation of results in project team, participation in sprint demos, support for health-state detection and root cause analysis with the help of rules, machine learning, and many other things are waiting for you.

TOPIC 2

Embed analytics and optimization algorithms in a cloud environment. You will use and learn about cloud services, use your knowledge to contribute to the embedding of analytics functions and optimization algorithms in a cloud environment. You will also enjoy looking into various programming languages and programming with these languages, e.g., Python, Node-Red (Javascript)

TOPIC 3

Improve an existing simulation-based development environment and develop new core features to support the development and testing of analytics and optimization algorithms. Use Matlab/Simulink as well as Python and improve your knowledge of these programs. You will set-up and carry out simulations with the help of an existing model and control block library. You will also adapt and improve the current simulation-based environment to support stand-alone simulation and interaction with analytics and optimization algorithms.

TOPIC 4

Develop new functions for a tool to test control applications, learn about a modern test tool and testing control applications and extend the tools’ functionality to support additional use cases, e.g. embed Matlab/Simulink stand-alone models, and adapt HMI for specific workflows. You will also use Python, JSON, Typescript, Angular/Electron and improve or build-up your knowledge of some or all of these.

Your skills

You recently graduated from a University or University of Applied Science in the area of Mechanical Engineering or Information Technology

Fluent business English is required and German is a plus

You have good analytics skills and are self-driven and proactive

You feel at home in a development environment

Starting date: as soon as possible
