Development of successful lifting solutions for our customers in a powerful team is the key to our success. To this end, we keep our finger on the pulse of research by developing and adapting systems engineering methods and tools geared to our needs and consistently transfer them to operational application. Our center of excellence is located at our new technology center in Köstendorf striving to empower engineering teams all over the world to efficiently develop and deliver technology-leading and sustainable solutions. In your role as Product Owner - Variant Management, you will develop, evaluate and implement new methods and tools for systematic and agile product development in close cooperation with the engineering teams of the product lines, thus actively contributing to leading the company and its employees into a successful digital future.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Ownership of the commercial software Pure:Variants including all its Palfinger-specific applications
Coordination of development, release and deployment of all Palfinger-specific applications, especially the new Paltronic 180 control unit Parameter Management solution
Analysis of stakeholder needs and specification of software applications
Screening of IT-tools and technologies in the field of Variant Management
Continuous requirements engineering towards owned IT application (management of enhancement & change request, defect tracking, etc.)
Continuous enhancement & improvement of owned IT application (additional custom functionality, tool interfaces, user interfaces) incl. testing, release management and deployment
Stakeholder management internally & with external partners, esp. tool vendor Pure-Systems as well as other programming service providers
Setup and management of user support infrastructure
Management of licensing topics (procurement, activation, user mgmt., etc.)
Preparation & conduction of user trainings & coaching
Preparation of user & development documentations
Status reporting to management

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Cooperative, pragmatic, and solution-oriented thinking and acting
Flexible and empathic personality with high ability to build bridges
University degree in IT-related study
Good knowledge of engineering IT tools & technologies
Openness and curiosity regarding new approaches, technologies and trends
Experience in utilizing agile and DevOps methodologies
Skilled in requirements development & management incl. according to tools
Preferably programming skills, esp. Java and Eclipse IDE
Experience in developing & operating engineering software is clear advantage
High level of comprehension for technically demanding challenges
Highly motivated and proactive way of working
Well organized and structured person with hands on implementation skills
Strong communicator, facilitator and moderator
Proficient business English, fluent German is an advantage

Minimum gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 46.346,72. We are willing to overpay according to training and qualification.
