Full-time, remote position on a contractor basis at Metaloop

We seek a QA Engineer to become part of our software development team. You will ensure we ship high-quality applications by planning, designing, executing and troubleshooting testing cycles. By applying your knowledge of established software quality assurance protocols and industry-standard tools, you will ensure all code meets consumer requirements and expectations.

Tasks

What will you do

Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project specifications
Execute test runs and log problems in the bug-tracking system
Identify, analyze and document problems with program functionality, output, online screens, and content
Ensure quality assurance activities are integrated with the development lifecycle
Analyze software requirements and develop test plans and test cases
Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness
Report on project statuses, issues, and roadblocks
Develop and execute automation scripts using industry-related tools
Work with the development team to resolve software problems
Champion a quality-focused attitude within the development team
Requirements

What you bring to the table

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance
Experience with automation testing tools and scripting
Familiarity with the Agile/Scrum software development process
Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Working knowledge of databases, Javascript and HTML
Desired: familiarity with Atlassian software such as Jira and Confluence
