Volta Trucks, a hypergrowth European Electric Truck Manufacturer, is looking for a Launch Team Lead – Electrical Systems to join our Launch Team. This role will based in Steyr, Austria.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join an ambitious scale-up where you will have the opportunity to contribute and make a difference from day one to provide support and share the direction of the quality function.
What you will do:
Reporting to the senior product launch manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the multi-discipline engineers whilst supporting the quality and delivery of objectives through each programme.

Leading the electrical Launch team to understand and react main issues across the main issues during the pre-production builds (High Voltage & Low Voltage, Wiring Harness, Commissioning)

Defining how the launch team function and document best practice

Supporting the team through concern analysis, reaction and management of the containment activities to ensure successful delivery.

Coordinating and providing support from the team and helping them become subject matter experts in their area of focus.

Providing accurate data and reports to the business

We would like you to have:

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent experience (desirable)

Experience of product development cycles and managing vehicle launch processes, ideally in a contract manufacturing environment.

An ability to analyse Requirements, Models, Drawings in support of problem solving;

A flexible hands-on approach with the ability to react and communicate according to the severity of the effect on the build;

Understanding and knowledge of vehicle structure, wiring schematics, vehicle systems (CAN, Lin, Ethernet)
