To build a world-class engineering team, we are looking for an experienced data scientist to lead our efforts around the evaluation and analysis of health data using cutting-edge machine learning and statistical inference methods. You will have the possibility to work with the team you always wanted because you will help make and shape that team from the ground up. Things you will do:

Be involved in the initial setup of our tech stack and data pipelines.
Develop models for analysis and classification of biomedical data, pattern recognition and anomalies detection.
Collaborate with the tech team to bring the developed models into production and support the end-to-end process.
Contribute to defining and shaping our data and AI product roadmap.

What you need to be successful:

Experience in the complete end-to-end process and lifecycle of model development: From data acquisition and preparation to the deployment and go-live phase.
Experience in NLP, topic modeling, document classification and clustering as well as recommender systems. Experience with language models is a plus.
Expert-level proficiency in Python and the common data science tool belt: NumPy, pandas, scikit, etc. Extensive experience in at least one of the following Machine Learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX.
Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies, with the ability to apply them effectively in data analysis and model development.
Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, ETL and data pipelines is a plus.
Experience with cloud computing and IaC is a plus.

At this stage of our company we can only accept applications from EU-citizens or people who already have an active work visa in the EU which we can transfer. We are looking for full-time employees (working under a remote employee contract with our company). We are not looking for freelancers or contract workers.
