Who we are
One Trading is a leading #crypto exchange in Europe, we are highly regulated and run a spot-exchange with an ambitious and exciting product growth strategy to launch the first EU regulated derivatives exchange!
Our Funds team is responsible for all on/off ramps to the exchange, and owns the development and maintenance of wallets, payments rails, and banking integrations. They are currently looking for a senior java developer to join them.
Your mission
As a Senior Java Engineer with our Funds team you will engage in all stages of the software engineering process from the inception phase, through delivery to the end-customer through to continuous support of One Trading. This role places demand on timely and efficient delivery of high quality code, enhancements to the existing performance, architectural design and development of creative, compelling, and cutting-edge systems. You will need to act with a strong sense of product affiliation and change ownership.
What you’ll do

Design and develop scalable, resilient, message-driven services using the Java programming language
Write clean and correct code with high test coverage and extensive end-to-end testing
Keep debug-outputs tidy, write comments during development and ensure technical documentation
Contribute to conversational development, disseminate information to the rest of the team and guide and mentor other team members, and review code written by team members
Optimise systems to ensure reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability
Support and upskill less experienced engineers

Who you are

Experience with payments rails and/or banking integrations (BCB, LHV, Signet, etc)
Knowledge of event driven architecture and ideally can show experience in building applications this way
An understanding of, or interest in, Crypto
Excellent knowledge of Java 11+
Strong knowledge of relational databases

Nice to have

Experience with developing microservices applications
Experience working in cross functional teams
Good knowledge of Gherkin syntax
Experience in building fault tolerant systems
Ability to work with and upskill more junior developers
