Thales Transportation Digital Competency Center (DCC) is part of our Digital Transformation initiative. The DCC consists of dedicated teams engaged in developing Digital Products, Solutions & Services while embracing Digital Culture and modern ways of working. The teams focus on topics related to Big Data (including Machine Learning, Fuzzy Logic etc), Artificial Intelligence (including Autonomy, virtual assistance etc), Digital Twins and critical and sophisticated algorithms among others.

Software Developer (m/f/d) Digital Competence Center (Ref.Nr. R01002851) for our activities in the field of transportation at our location in Berlin
You will enjoy having this responsibility:
You are responsible for building & programming the future products in the domain of Ground Transportation.
It also involves the following tasks:
Design & Develop efficient and robust software as per the problem statement at hand in an independent and autonomous way
Apply Agile Software Engineering practices such as Pair Programming, Test Driven Development with Unit Tests, Continuous Integration, Refactoring, Incremental Development of features
Take part in Sprint development with timely updates, raising blockers and continuous improvement
Deliver on time and in quality according to the project schedule, policies and constraints
Discuss and validate design proposals among the peer group in an open and collaborative fashion
Nurture curiosity towards latest industry trends and bring them in the project as appropriate
You have:
Hands on experience in Object Oriented Programming languages such as Java, C#
Hands on experience in at least one of the JavaScript frameworks for web development
Knowledge of Java Spring Boot
Experience in secure software development is a must
Experience with writing automated unit tests and integration tests
Exposure to Cloud Platforms and BigData development is an advantage
Good understanding of Agile Methodologies
Ability & willingness to quickly ramp up on new technologies and domains
