Your Responsibilities
Providing tailor made applications for the institute is the main responsibility of our software development team. Together with your colleagues, you will develop and hold responsibility for applications mainly based on open source web frameworks. In the process of developing new applications, it is crucial to understand the needs of our users and to provide them with the best possible solutions.

Developing, modifying and testing of web applications, based on open source frameworks
Translating functional into technical specifications
Maintaining the deployment infrastructure (Linux VMs, docker) together with our System Administrators
Participating in the development of software documentation and trainings

Your Profile

Technical education in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field
Experience in full-stack web development in at least one of the following languages: Ruby (preferred, Rails knowledge is a plus), Python, Perl or PHP
Familiarity with native JavaScript and JS frameworks (e.g. Vue.js, Quasar)
Profound knowledge of web standards (HTTP, REST, HTML5, CSS)
Experience designing modern web architectures (microservices, SPA, PWA, web components)
Good knowledge of database (SQL, NoSQL) and search engine technologies (e.g. Elasticsearch, Solr)
Some experience with workflow engines (e.g. Flowable, Activiti) and document management systems (e.g. Alfresco) is a plus
Eagerness to learn new technologies and high degree of service orientation
Open-minded and motivated team player
Focused and self-dependent working style
Good communication skills in English (corporate language)
