As a Software Engineering Intern in the Data Analytics Team at Axpo, you will work on building data products that take the operation and maintenance of hydro power plants to the next level!

What you will do
You will work on both frontend and backend with a focus in frontend
You will have the opportunity to work with state of the art tooling like FastAPI, React, CICD and Cloud Computing
You will learn and apply industry best practices in software development in an experienced team
You will learn to identify and solve issues arising with our applications in production
You will participate in design and code reviews
You will be working in an agile team
You will contribute to solve the upcoming problems in the energy industry
What you bring & who you are
You are smart and an enthusiastic person with a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a quantitative subject such as applied Math or Physics
You have some experience with programming (ideally using Python or Javascript); if you have knowledge of React this would be an advantage
You want to further improve your software development skills by working with professionals in this field
You are fluent in either English or German
About the team
You will be part of a small team that owns the entire product from the sensor in the power plant via the analytics workloads running in the cloud to the frontend presenting actionable insights. As we are still a young and growing team there are a lot of opportunities to take responsibility and design solutions from the ground up.
