Your Role and Responsibilities
The Instana Application Perspectives team is looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our team in Böblingen.

At Instana, we process and analyze millions of spans, traces, metrics and events per second in order to provide actionable APM intelligence to our rapidly expanding customer base.

Team Application Perspectives is at the heart of the Instana structure – we are responsible for ingesting distributed traces from a distributed system, processing and storing these trace calls and providing dashboards and visualizations allowing users to troubleshoot issues in their environment.

As a member of the Application Perspectives team your responsibilities will include:

Collaborate with Product Management and implement feature roadmaps
Work closely with the Design team
Contribute to the Instana Frontend Community
Review code changes
Handle issues reported by our customers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

3+ years of experience in React or similar frameworks
Experience with UI Design best practices
A good understanding of SPA architecture
Experience with best practices in implementing reusable UI components
Good code writing discipline and an eye for code efficiency
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving techniques
Fluent in written and spoken English
Permission to work in the EU
Relevant experience or educational background in Software Engineering required

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

TypeScript experience
Experience with functional reactive programming paradigm, ideally observables and react
Experience working with UX concepts and design systems
Experience working with chart frameworks
