In this role, you will be working in a highly customer-facing role, providing pre-sales support and technical architecture advice to customers. You will collaborate with field sales, R&D and engineering teams to recommend and develop customer solutions. As the Global Lead Solution Architect, you will work in a consultative fashion and take over an experienced leadership role within the field for the account team, our customers and internal Siemens teams.
Are you an expert at seamlessly transitioning from a consultative discussion with a C-level executive to a technical discussion with an engineer? Does solving problems for customers and finding both technical and business solutions come naturally to you? Are you a natural people leader?
More specifically, you will:

Lead and manage a diverse team of solution architects, fostering a global knowledge-sharing community.
Drive pre-sales efforts through workshops, demos, and proofs of concept, adeptly addressing technical challenges and cybersecurity concerns.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective responses to customer opportunities and RFIs/RFQs, refining solutions to align with customer needs.
Contribute to the evolution of product demonstrations and proofs of concept, catering to varying customer requirements.
Provide valuable customer feedback to engineering and product management for the enhancement of Smart Building Software offerings.
Shape future strategies and strengthen the pre-sales approach, enhancing the value proposition.
Create compelling demos and proofs of concept to validate technical solutions and drive adoption of Siemens products.
Ensure consistent, well-designed technical solutions based on Building X Platform services.

Your skills:

A robust technical background enabling quick comprehension of complex technical subjects and abstraction of concepts; cybersecurity expertise enhances customer value.
Inspirational leadership skills with a passion for fostering team growth and development.
Experience in pre-sales or project management within SaaS or Enterprise IT/IoT environments.
Strategic savvy in solution design, coupled with a strong business attitude.
Exceptional communication skills for engaging audiences at all levels, backed by convincing presentation and demonstration abilities.
Familiarity with contractual and legal frameworks for successful RFQ acquisition.
Proficiency in sales processes and methodologies, transforming leads into tangible outcomes.
Technical proficiency in at least 3 of the following: REST APIs, MQTT, SSL and Cryptography, networking principles, Docker, Edge Computing, container orchestrators.
Familiarity with AWS and Microsoft clouds (Power Apps, Azure, Dynamics).
Advisory experience in IoT and Cloud projects, spanning the software project lifecycle.
Strong communication abilities for engaging with both business and technical stakeholders.
Advanced language skills in English and German.

Nice to haves:

Knowledge of integration via BACnet, KNX, OPC-DA/UA, Kafka, SSL configuration, and secure networking principles.
Programming language experience in Python, Golang, Rust, C++, C#, Node.js, Java.
Expertise in building portfolio and building automation systems, energy management, safety, and security.
Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes.
Familiarity with privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR/CCPA) and security certifications (ISO2700x, SOCII).
