Summary
At SAP Signavio, we're dedicated to helping our customers navigate their digital transformation by providing innovative solutions to improve their business processes.
As a DevOps Engineer on our SRE Team in the Platform Group, you'll play a crucial role in building our SAP Signavio infrastructure platform and enabling engineering teams to use it. Our mission is to make the foundation for our application developers to focus on creating value - profiting from the scale of SAP without being too dragged down by overhead, with low cognitive load, and with security & compliance built-in. We pride ourselves in following a Platform Engineering approach, being infrastructure-as-code only, and we continuously push to adopt new technologies that solve our most significant issues once proven.

What You'll Do

You'll work closely with a team of DevOps Engineers to design, build, and maintain the platform for our production systems using AWS, Kubernetes and Crossplane
Follow and push our focused infrastructure-as-code / GitOps approach on AWS.
Help us improve our development workflows using ArgoCD, CircleCi, GitHub Actions, and other tools.

Collaborate transparently with various internal stakeholders through demos, presentations, and documentation.
Additionally, you'll pair with engineers from various delivery teams to support multiple environments and work to improve code infrastructure, continuous testing, and security.
Take part in the transition to use SAP Gardener managed Kubernetes clusters, Crossplane framework, and collaborating with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

What You'll Bring

You are skilled in using one or more programming languages (such as Go, Python, or TypeScript) and have solid experience in Linux.
You have experience setting up and administering AWS Services (e.g., VPC, EC2 EKS, IAM, Route 53), preferably with IaC tools such as CDK/Typescript, Terraform, CloudFormation or Crossplane
You know how to maintain and debug Kubernetes clusters.
You have experience or willingness to learn service meshes like Istio, preferably with Helm, and you are familiar with writing Helm charts.

Apply software engineering practices like GitOps using ArgoCD, CI/CD, TDD, and GitHub workflow to infrastructure.
You understand High Availability, Scalability, Security, and Disaster Recovery concepts.
Familiar with monitoring and logging such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK/EFK stack.
You have a strong desire to change manual processes into automation.

Above all, you'll be a strong team player and understand that we can only succeed as a distributed team. You'll dislike manual changes to infrastructure and will fight for simplicity, always ensuring that untested modifications do not make their way into production.
