IBM Consulting Associates Experience
IBM Consulting Associates is IBM’s development program for top performing and talented graduates. It will give you the opportunity to start your technical career by combining client project work across different industries with focused training, project rotation and mentoring. Designed by experienced specialists, the program will accelerate and help you grow your consulting career.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Depending on your preferred specialization (Architecture, OpenShift, DevSecOps), you work as an Application Developer or as a DevOps Engineer and you will focus on technologies such as hybrid cloud computing (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud), container platforms (Red Hat OpenShift) and microservice architectures. We offer trainings and coaching to become a certified cloud architect and/or a certified Red Hat Specialist in OpenShift.
The work is project-based and your assignment on projects will typically last between 3 to 12 months. After that, you’ll move to another client engagement/role to gain exposure to various business and technical environments. It is also possible to gain international work experience.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
We are looking for candidates who meet the following minimum criteria:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Programming language and framework experience (e.g., Java, SQL, Spring, Kafka, Angular)
Strong problem-solving capabilities, including the desire to deliver creative, well-structured, and re-usable solutions
Powerful communication skills, successfully applying verbal and written communications to expose and defend points of view to business leaders and team members
Fluency in both German and English (written & spoken)
Swiss nationality or valid Swiss work permit / EU passport

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Preferably, you meet one or several of the following additional criteria:

Container technology experience (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Exposure to or experience working with cloud native application methodologies and tools
Passion to apply emerging technologies, ability to adapt modern approaches and develop innovative solutions to client problems
