Senior Ruby on Rails Developer (m/w/d)We are a growing startup based in Austria, seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer. As a member of our development team you will drive the technological advancement of our platform, design and implement new features and functionality as well as play a key role in developing web applications that redefine how medical information is accessed and utilized. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, with the option to work on-site in Austria for those who prefer. We are seeking an ideal candidate with several years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development. A strong understanding of web application development and adherence to software engineering best practices is essential. While not mandatory, additional experience in TypeScript, React, and GraphQL will be considered an advantage. Responsibilities Design and development of new features for our Ruby on Rails web application and API, ensuring originality and functionality. Work collaboratively with the development team to guarantee well-designed, efficient, and thoroughly tested code. Actively contribute to shaping the overall architecture and technical trajectory of our web applications. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues as they occur, maintaining high performance and reliability. Requirements A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Extensive professional experience in Ruby on Rails development. Deep understanding of web application development and adherence to software engineering best practices. Proficiency with RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs Familiarity with TypeScript, React, and GraphQL, which will be advantageous. Skilled in code versioning tools (such as Git). Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
