Job ID: ACDH-CH150TEC023 The Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage (ACDH-CH), a research department of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW), Austria's leading non-university research institution, is seeking a FULL-STACK WEB DEVELOPER (F/M/X)(20-40h per week)You will join an internationally networked team, pursuing research at the intersection between information and communication technology and humanities studies. Your work will involve processing and publishing of data from various humanities disciplines (esp. literary studies), their research objects (cultural artifacts like books, works of literature or art) as well as information about persons, places, historical events and the manifold relations between these. To get a better impression of the institute's activities, you are invited to look at our public code repositories or some of the prototypical projects: Schnitzler Tagebuch, Auden Musulin Papers or Hanslick Online. Your tasks:User-oriented development of web applications for collaborative authoring, managing and publishing of research data and metadata Writing documentation and implementing automated tests for the developed applications Your profile:Experience in designing and implementing web applications, knowledge of web architectures, standards and protocols Experience in implementing frontends with Vue.JS and/or React Good command of Python as a server-side programming language Good command of modern JavaScript development tools Team player with independent working style and passion for open source/data Optional assets:Experience in using modern development and deployment tools (Git, Docker, GitHub Actions) Experience in implementing applications in Django Knowledge of PHP, XML technologies and / or semantic web technologies Background in the field of humanities, esp. The employment will start at the earliest in February 2024 and run initially for 12 months, with the option of conversion to indefinite duration.
