Position overview
Become a member of our small but senior team who is taking care of our banking customers in Luxembourg. The team is covering end to end life cycle of software solutions, including design, development, testing, and maintenance of solutions as well as communication with our clients, analysing their requirements and business needs. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on backend solutions.
The opportunity involves continuous improvement within a dominating industry, a chance to cover a wide scope of tasks that will help you to become an independent engineer covering the whole project of software development.

What you will be focusing on

Software engineering for discrete complex applications
Design, code, test, and document complex components ensuring seamless integration with other interfacing applications
Technical support and troubleshooting for increasingly complex systems, making recommendations for their improvement
Producing and reviewing estimates of time to be spent on components as input to the overall technical, and cost estimation of the project
Break down functional and business requirements into clear, estimable low-level objectives
Contribution to the development of secure coding practices and aligned testing requirements
Ensuring quality, performance, and adherence to specifications of assigned development tasks and adjacent technology solutions
Identification and implementation of tasks that generate greater efficiency on product level Collaboration with cross-functional engineering and technical colleagues on projects end to end

Techstack: Unix servers, C, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, MySQL, Apache, CGI, Soap XML, REST API, JSON

What we expect from you

Relevant working experience in a similar role on medior to senior level
Fluent communication in English (at least B1 level)
Fluent communication in French (at least B2 level)
Willingness to participate in on-call duties (6AM-10PM)
Deep understanding of OS Unix
C programming language
Knowledge of MySQL on the management/ user level HTML, PHP or JavaScript is an advantage
