As the IT of the REWE Group Austria, we work together with our more than 600 employees to develop innovative IT products and services for all our corporate divisions in Austria and abroad, setting the tone for modern trade. As part of a new, motivated team, you will secure the operation of our services based on SRE principles. With a broad knowledge of IT, you will act as an interface between infrastructure and development. Together with our development and platform teams, you will improve the operational aspects of our software architectures. By establishing quality gates and automating manual processes, you will increase the reliability of our services. Job Description

Refine and enhance our Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline
Enable full-stack observability
Proactively address issues and bottlenecks by leveraging insights from full-stack observability tools.
Design and implement comprehensive metrics to effectively measure and monitor adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements.
Collaborate with software developers to streamline the build and release process.
Establish and oversee robust monitoring systems for our production environment, ensuring real-time visibility into system performance, reliability, security, and proactively address and mitigate incidents by leveraging insights from full-stack observability and production monitoring tools.

Qualifications

Professional experience as a system administrator or DevOps engineer
Expertise in container virtualization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Support of Linux/Windows systems
Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI)
Knowledge of the cloud environment (preferably GCP) is an advantage
Knowhow in the field of logging & monitoring (EFK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana)
Experience with Golang, Python, Java and Node.js is an advantage
Very good comprehension as well as communication and team player skills
Self-responsibility, organizational and coordination strength
