We are seeking a highly skilled Service Desk Engineer with proficiency in German to join our team. As part of a Service Level Agreement (SLA) based managed service, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure across multiple locations, including two data centers in Vienna and approximately 30 other sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Hours: Monday to Friday (7am-6pm) with flexibility for on-call duties if required.
Onsite and Data Center Assignments: Collaborate with the Service Manager and the customer for onsite and data center tasks. A valid driver's license and a suitable vehicle are necessary for travel to external locations.
Customer Contact: Build and maintain excellent customer relationships through effective communication and support.
Hardware Topics: Handle hardware-related tasks such as up-down conversion of workstations, cell phones, and various IT equipment including laptops, tablets, and monitors.
IMAC/R (Install, Move, Add, Change, Remove): Execute IMAC/R tasks efficiently and effectively.
Client Administration: Demonstrate strong knowledge of client administration, with expertise in Windows 10/11, application installations, and a general affinity for IT in the workplace.
Remote Working Team Support: Provide support to the remote working team, addressing various technologies and tasks including:
Windows/Linux operating systems
Icinga monitoring
DNS, DHCP, NDP, DFS
PKI certificates
Hypervisor based on ESXi
HPE Server/iLO
HPE 3PAR storage
SAN: Brocade
Database management (Microsoft SQL Server express, Oracle, Mongo, Maria DB, PostgreSQL)
Middleware (e.g., IIS, Java, DB)
Print server monitoring
Backup/restore based on Veeam
Ticket processing
Qualifications:
Fluent in German (spoken and written)
Valid car driver's license and access to a suitable vehicle
Proven experience in IT support and administration
Strong client-facing and communication skills
Familiarity with a wide range of technologies, including those listed in the job description
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
