Your mission

Design a scalable and high-performing IT architecture with consideration for database, backend, frontend, and deployment to enable communication with our client’s power plants in real-time, using the following tech stack: Python (Flask, SQLAlchemy, etc.), MSSQL/PostgreSQL, OpenAPI, Kubernetes & Helm
Develop and test modular backend services, RestAPI endpoints and performant database structure for our automation and optimization SaaS product “HYDROGRID Insight”
Work closely with our in-house machine learning and optimization team to improve the analytics core of HYDROGRID Insight
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in technology and propose new ideas to improve our service and IT architecture even further
Review code of your colleagues to maintain a four-eyes principle for all deployed code
Mentor junior developers in the team by guarding code quality and helping them make architecture design decision
Become part of an agile workflow (SCRUM) and take an active role in leading software development

Your profile

You have a technical education related to Computer Science (BSc or higher)
You have 5 years or more of experience in professional software development with excellent skills using Python, OpenAPI, and SQL
You have experience in writing scalable backend applications, including refactoring and tooling
You have experience in setting up and executing quality assurance, including testing, documentation and code review
Dealing with agile software development methods and modern development tools is part of your daily routine
You have experience and interest in mentoring junior colleagues
High level of problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
Fluency in English is essential, other languages are a plus
You have a valid work permit for Austria
It would be amazing if you also have

Experience or interest in DevOps and CI/CD (Kubernetes, Helm. Jenkins, Atlassian stack)
Previous experience of working in a Startup
An interest in renewable energy and want your work to have a positive climate impact
