Test Manager (f/m/x)

Thales in Austria is a full system provider and global supplier of train control technology and traffic management systems (f. ex. European Train Control System (ETCS), Electronic interlockings, Operation Control Centers and dispatching systems, Field elements).

The train control unit is looking for an ambitious Test Manager, to proof that our new developed ETCS product fulfills all of the customer requirements and functions as intended. In this role you coordinate overall 4 testers and all test activities from the first concept until the final document. Your CHALLENGE

Responsibility for conception, planning and implementation of all project test activities

Coordinating the test team consisting of 4 testers

Preparation of test documentation (Test Report, Test Case Specification)

Definition and execution of functional-, integration- and performance tests Manual /Automation

Monitoring the progress of the test and reporting test results

Assessing risks and identify possible improvements

Close cooperation with product development, quality assurance, operations and project management

Your PROFILE

Completed education (HTL, FH, University) in a technical field like Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Railway Engineering

~ 5 years professional experience in test management and technical management of a team

Experience of testing complex system with different soft- and hardware components

Good Java skills

Knowledge of Gherkin

Knowledge of standards (CENELEC) is an advantage

Knowledge of test automation is advantageous

ISTQB © Certifications are advantageous

Good level of English necessary, German is advantageous

The salary for this position starts at € 65.000 gross p.a. Actual compensation is based on experience and qualification.
