At ABB Process Industries, sustainability in all dimensions is core to us and we push technology to enable our customers to contribute to a low-carbon society in a responsible way. In this 6-month internship you will be part of the of the global R&D automation team and develop proof of concepts demonstrators and automation solutions. The outcome is directly relevant to our businesses within our Process Industries division with a strong focus on Mining, Minerals Processing, Grinding, Cement applications.
Your responsibilities

Work with interdisciplinary teams to create possible architectures for automation (OPC UA) and web applications
Implementation of a demonstrator (proof of concept) based on a real customer control application
Interface design and define requirements on existing solutions
Actively participate in shaping next product generations
Leveraging competencies of other products and development teams and collaborate with other employees around the world
Gain in-depth technical knowledge about process automation

Your background

Officially enrolled student with a background in automation and/or information technology or related subjects (advanced BSc or MSc)
Hands-on experience with web applications (JavaScript framework)
Good interpersonal and communication skills
A solution-focused approach with the ability to structure complex topics
Fluency in English is required, other languages are an added advantage
