OVERVIEW

A key part of making sports happen is connecting users from their first web search to that exciting first booking at our venues. Our User Acquisition team is essential to this vision, and we're searching for a unique blend of talent.

As the Senior Backend Developer of the team, you'll dive deep into our tech stack and play a key role in hands-on development. But your impact won't stop at code. You'll be instrumental in guiding the team, ensuring timely deliveries, and mentoring the next generation of developers in our small yet mighty team. Whether you've acted in a similar role before or feel ready to prove your skills, you're just the person we're looking for.

VIENNA, Austria

YOUR TASKS

Acting as the technical lead by aligning approaches with peer engineers, infrastructural needs with platform engineers, and feasibility risks with the product manager.

Working as a backend developer, offering stable, reliable, and maintainable backend APIs.

Improve engineering practices through cross-team collaboration, pair programming, and code reviews.

Collaborate with the Product Manager on user insights to create impactful solutions.

Ensure consistent delivery velocity through agile and DevOps practices.

Assist in the coordination of project delivery timelines within the team and across other teams.

Support and guide other fellow peer engineers with the advanced technical knowledge you have to offer

YOUR PROFILE

6+ years of experience developing web applications in mid- or large-scale production systems, using major programming languages

First experience as technical lead or delivery manager

Experience in developing web applications using Node.js

Enthusiasm to code in TypeScript

Proficiency in relational databases like MySQL or Postgres

Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS

Familiarity with microservice architecture

Gross annual salary of EUR 55,000 - overpayment corresponding to experience and qualification.
