We are looking for a Senior Fullstack React/Java Engineer (m/f/d) to join our passionate team in Vienna, Austria. At Semantic Web Company (SWC) you’ll work alongside great people with a wide variety of backgrounds and talents.

About the Role
Fullstack Engineers mainly focus on developing solutions and products built on top of the PoolParty Semantic Suite. They are involved in all stages of the development process focusing both on the frontend and backend parts of applications. They also develop prototypes and PoCs, which are used as demos for our customers.
Your Main Responsibilities:

Refine, design, and implement features, prototypes, and demos built on top of PoolParty. The main programming languages are TypeScript (using React) and Java (using Spring).
Responsible for ensuring maintainable and scalable code for robustness and reliability
Write and maintain unit and end to end tests so that quality is maintained and code adheres to functional requirements
Peer-review code from other team members
Participate in Product Backlog Refinement sessions to formulate user stories by clarifying the technical details
Mentor developers and guiding them towards best development practices

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

University degree in computer science OR adequate working experience as a Fullstack Engineer
3 years+ of work experience as a Fullstack Engineer
Web technologies knowledge (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS)
Experience with JS Framework React
Experience with Java and Java-based frameworks
Experience with development tools like IntelliJ/Eclipse, Maven, Jenkins, Git
Understanding and knowledge about Web Security, Testing Web Applications (Unit tests, E2E tests)

Other qualifications and experiences (nice to have):

Experience with other scripting languages like Python, experience with LangChain etc. to work with LLMs
Familiarity with basic Linux commands
Passion to write clean code
Passion for UI-UX, graphic / interaction design is a plus
Knowledge of the Semantic Web
Experience working with scrum methodologies is an advantage (but not a prerequisite)

The gross salary offered (full-time-equivalent) is at least EUR 55.000,- p.a. – adaptations and overpayment possible, depending on education, skills, and work experience.
