You will join a highly dynamic development team, supporting with your excellent skills a new and highly competitive product in the automotive industry. This new product for battery cell testing is based on our very successful product from the space domain (power test equipment for satellites). These battery cell testers are used in the various stages of assembly, integration, verification and testing of the different subsystems of battery manufacturers. Our goal is to design, configure, assemble, integrate, and test our own products to finally deliver them to our customers (battery manufacturers) and put them into operation at their premises.
With your power electronics background you will be able to support the system architect in the selection of electrical and mechanical components and write the design documents for the system. You will validate the solutions through testing (testcase definition and execution). You will expending a significant amount of time doing EMC test and another electrical test. You should be able to conduct and automatize electrical and mechanical test at system and device level, you will be responsible of certifications and HIGH voltage test.

Your responsibilities will cover:

Selection of components for battery cell tester and satellite equipment at rack level
Running electrical simulations
Running electrical and mechanical test
Creation of test plans and test specifications based on customer and internal requirements
Design and evaluation of test setups
Documentation, analysis and reporting of test results (test reports)

As you will be working on a cutting edge design of a power electronics product, your diligence and experience would be vital for the overall success of the R&D project. Your commitment will make it possible to develop a turnkey solutions for satellite testing!

Mandatory competences:

Knowledge of electrical components such us circuit brakers, transformers, fuses, etc.
Able to work with measurement equipment such as oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.
Basic knowledge of ECAD tools such as Altium
Excellent command of the English language

Beneficial know-how:

3D cad design in solid edge or similar
Experience with EMC testing
Programing skills in a high-level language (python, Java, etc)

Professional Experience:

Higher education in electrical/mechanic/mechatronic engineering
Can be a first work experience

Soft Skills:

Analytical and solution orientated, take ownership and responsibility
Attention to details
Team player

Miscellaneous:

Working in AT – Vienna, partial remote work possible (40%)
Residents of AT, RO preferred.
