Aufgaben

As our next Java Backend Developer, you play a major role in creating, developing and testing back-end applications as well as APIs.

You use your Java experience to create a scalable software architecture
You develop Java-based backend components in conjunction with the underlying database
You develop REST API’s by utilizing a modern Java-based framework
You create fully automated tests for the features you develop
You connect the API to the search index to ensure an appropriate search experience
You closely cooperate with the frontend developers and the design team
You actively participate and take ownership throughout the whole development process
Qualifikation

Relevant experience in backend and API development or educational background in related fields
Excellent command of Java, relational and non-relational databases
Good command of software architecture, automated testing and design of REST APIs
Nice-to-have: JavaScript, NestJS, DevOps, containerization and Kubernetes
Enthusiasm for User Experience (usability, accessibility) and a detail-oriented, quality-focused work style
Motivation and passion for learning new things and honing your skills
You don’t speak German? No big deal, English is our main language
