Software Developer Cyber Security f/m/d

As a Software Developer you will be responsible for development of AVL’s new software platform AVL TestGuard to enable automated baseline/regression testing in the field of Cyber Security. As part of an international dynamic team, you will drive and contribute to the overall development and expansion of our complete cyber security suite – AVL SecGuard to ensure complete cyber security compliance. If you are looking for an exciting position, that will challenge your innovate and free thinking skills, this could be the perfect opportunity you.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Further development of existing AVL software tools in the area of cyber security and software-defined vehicles
Full stack software development: Frontend Angular 12 (JavaScript, HTML, CSS), Backend Python (Flask), Database (Postgres) and Communication between Components with MQTT and JSON
Development and commissioning of demonstration systems (e.g. software prototype on provided development hardware)
Coordination of application & software requirements and solutions with customers and engineers from different internal departments
Support the development of innovative cybersecurity and software defined vehicle concepts and functions according to industry standards and current market requirements
Threat Intelligence Engineering - development and implementation of security test scenarios for vehicle infrastructure to be tested and validated

YOUR PROFILE:

Completed education (University of Technology, University of applied sciences or comparable) with a focus on IT security, computer science, software development, telematics, mechatronics, automotive engineering or electrical engineering
At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of cyber security
Knowledge of one or more common programming languages (JavaScript, Python, C#, Java, TypeScript, C++, C), CI/CD (Microsoft Azure), and agile software development
Experience with Linux Operating Systems (Debian Distributions)
Know-how in the area of threat analysis and risk management (ISO/SAE 21434 or ISO 27001) would be an advantage
Ability to work in a team
Very good knowledge of English, good knowledge of German is an advantage
Willingness to travel

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €52,000.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
