Barracuda Campus offers training, documentation, and certification for customers, partners, and employees of Barracuda Networks. Working as a Senior Web Developer in the Barracuda Campus team, you will contribute to a learning platform that delivers know-how to our users worldwide.

You'll be involved in the entire product lifecycle including the design, development, deployment and maintenance of new and existing features. You'll also produce detailed specifications and your code will be written in a timely and scalable way, all while ensuring strong optimization.

Our team collaborates with a wide range of other employees, like technical trainers, technical writers, and the CloudOps team, as well as with other internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll be working on

Actively participating in quality assurance activities, including design and code reviews, unit testing, defect fixes, operational readiness, and code refactoring
Analyzing and implementing security guidelines
Prioritizing tasks and managing the platform roadmap
Guiding junior web developers
Working together in an agile team and solving complex problems
Writing robust, efficient, and secure PHP code

What you bring to the role

5+ years of PHP web development
Proficiency in PHP and PHP frameworks (e.g., Kohana, Symfony, Laravel)
Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Proactive approach to improving existing systems with an analytical mindset to identify and resolve complex technical challenges
Good understanding of and the ability to solve DevOps/CloudOps challenges that come with modern and complex web applications
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Experience with the following is a plus: AWS, Azure, GCP, Elasticsearch, Google Cloud APIs, Atlassian Confluence/Jira, GitHub, Ansible, Terraform
