Your personal sphere of influence:
At the Department of Business Analytics and Decisions, a position as a prae doc university assistant is to be filled starting from July 1, 2024.
The contract duration upon appointment is 4 years, with the employment initially being limited to 1,5 years and can automatically be extended to a total of 4 years, provided that the employer does not issue a non-extension notice within a maximum of 12 months.

Your future tasks:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:

You will participate in research projects and scientific studies in the field of Transportation Analytics (e.g., reliability in vehicle routing)
We expect you to complete your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
You will work on your dissertation and its completion.
You will independently conduct teaching activities within the scope of collective bargaining agreements, in the field of Business and Transportation Analytics.
You will undertake administrative tasks in research & teaching.
You will supervise students.
You will participate in publications/scientific presentations.

This is part of your personality:

Completed master's or diploma degree in the field of quantitative-oriented business administration, business informatics, or business analytics
Initial practical experience in academic writing and research methods
Teaching skills / experience in e-learning
IT skills, esp. an object-oriented programming language such as C#, Python, or Java
Knowledge in: logistics, supply chain management and transport planning would be desirable
Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
You are a team player with high social/communication skills.
