Test Automation Engineer (f/m/x)

Thales in Austria is a full system provider and global supplier of train control technology and traffic management systems (f. ex. European Train Control System (ETCS), Electronic interlockings, Operation Control Centers and dispatching systems, Field elements).

The train control unit is looking for an ambitious Test Automation Engineer, to proof that our new developed ETCS product fulfills all of the customer requirements and functions as intended. To provide a faster and even more reliable testing phase for our current and future projects, we need to improve our test automation.

Your CHALLENGE

Developing test automation tools in Java

Support of the test automation process

Maintenance of existing frameworks and the related documentation

Definition and execution of functional-, integration- and performance tests incl. failover scenarios

Support of the product development team in defining and implementing the test automation processes

Definition and creation of needed test documentation

Analysis and reproduction of incidents within a test team consisting of 4 members

Your PROFILE

Completed education (HTL, FH, University) in a technical field like Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Railway Engineering

At least 2 years of experience in test automation on different levels

Very Good Java Skills

Practical work experience with Gherkin

Practical experience of version control software, e.g. GIT, SVN

ISTQB © Certification is highly advantageous

Good level of English necessary, German is advantageous

The salary for this position starts at € 56.000 gross p.a. Actual compensation is based on experience and qualification.
