Responsibilities
Kubernetes Management and Monitoring:
Manage Kubernetes clusters using k3s, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Backup Management and Monitoring:
Implement and manage backups with Kasten & Velero, ensuring data integrity and recoverability.
Application Management and Monitoring:
Use Elasticsearch & Kibana for application monitoring and troubleshooting.
Release and Deployment Management:
Streamline and manage release and deployment processes for smooth, error-free application deployment.
Resource Monitoring and Optimisation:
Utilize Prometheus & Grafana to monitor system resources and optimise for performance and cost-efficiency.
CI/CD Process Development and Maintenance:
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines ensuring robust and efficient integration and delivery.
Security Gates and Compliance:
Implement security gates in the CI/CD pipeline, creating and maintaining a SOC2 compliant process.
Integrate security tooling for Kubernetes environments.
Tech and Tool Stack
Kubernetes: k3s
CI/CD: ArgoCD, Helm, Azure DevOps (evaluating alternatives for security requirements)
Monitoring: Elastic stack, Grafana, Prometheus
Application Tech Stack
Java, Kotlin, Docker, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Traefik
Qualifications
Experience with Kubernetes (k3s) management and monitoring.
Background in backup solutions using Kasten & Velero.
Proficiency in application monitoring with Elasticsearch & Kibana.
Expertise in release and deployment management.
Solid experience with Prometheus & Grafana for resource monitoring and optimization.
Hands-on experience in CI/CD process development and maintenance.
Knowledge of implementing security gates and SOC2 compliant CI/CD processes.
Experience with security tooling integration in Kubernetes environments.
Familiarity with our tech stack: Java, Kotlin, Docker, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Traefik.
Experience in SaaS product delivery and a strong understanding of micro-services and related architectures is an advantage.
