Job description
We are currently seeking a skilled Middleware Engineer to join our team in Vienna. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in middleware technologies, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and Docker. The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth integration and communication between different Operational Management Centers (OMCs) for train traffic management.
Responsibilities:
Ensure seamless integration and communication between two independent Operational Management Centers (OMCs) to maintain train traffic control.
Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment processes and testing speed.
Implement and manage middleware solutions to support virtualization and private cloud environments.
Monitor and troubleshoot middleware systems to ensure high availability and performance.
Collaborate with the DevOps team to address hardware and software issues, focusing on infrastructure connectivity.
Document testing procedures and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
Mentor and guide other team members on best practices and technologies used in the project.
Your Profile:
Proven experience as a Middleware Engineer or in a similar role with a focus on CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, and virtualization tools.
Strong knowledge of middleware technologies and private cloud environments.
Familiarity with Java, Linux, and Grafana is a plus.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to mentor and support other team members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Strong communication skills, with English being mandatory and German a nice to have.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
