ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking for an experienced Solution Architect to join EPAM and support our client from the financial services area in their office in Zurich.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing complex IT solutions with a focus on Microsoft Azure. The candidate will be responsible for leading the architectural design and deployment of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, managing architectural risks, and ensuring successful delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluate the proposed cloud solution, working collaboratively to refine and enhance it
Ensure alignment with best practices, industry standards and regulatory requirements
Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing the solution architecture
Drive the implementation of the Azure Cloud solution, utilizing Microsoft Azure, AKS and Azure Web App Service
versee the deployment process, ensuring ease of deployment, maintainability and cost-effectiveness
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance
Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to equip the team with the skills needed for long-term self-sufficiency
Provide comprehensive documentation and training materials
Mentor team members on best practices in Azure Cloud, AKS and infrastructure design

REQUIREMENTS

Experience as a solution architect and working with enterprise architecture
Proven experience with azure architecture
Experience with microservices and cloud-native approach
Solid development background in one of the technologies - React, Java/Spring Boot. Being full-stack and having hands on both or mix of the React and Java would be a plus
Strong analytical, innovation and problem-solving skills
Higher education degree with a focus in IT Software Engineering
Experience with agile methodology
Design, plan, and deliver solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment
Strong architectural knowledge
Java, React or any other FE library
Experience in a similar domain (professional e-banking) is an advantage
Proficient communication skills in English are a must, while knowledge of the German language is a significant advantage
