Together with our team of experienced data engineers, you will take on responsibility in customer projects after an intensive training period.

ABOUT THE JOB

Conception and realization of Big Data & AI solutions in petabyte scale
Deployment and operation of Big Data & AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, AZURE, VMWare and Kubernetes Implementation of data pipelines, ETL routes and migration of existing DWH/DL systems
Advising teams, including C-level teams, on the use of data engineering and data analytics
Ensure close collaboration with other evoila teams and understanding of their concepts and solutions Support in sales by building and maintaining customer relationships
Ensuring a long-term and cooperative relationship with our customers

YOUR QUALIFICATION

WHO YOU ARE:
University degree in computer science, e-technology, physics or mathematics.
Alternatively: completed training as an IT specialist (m/f/d) for system integration/application development with several years of professional experience Knowledge in Big Data architectures, especially on AWS, Azure or on on-premise Cloudera distributions.
Technologies around Python, Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Airflow. Hands-on experience with Docker and CI&CD.
Strong communication skills Solid knowledge of programming
Several years of professional experience
Confident demeanor, analytical/conceptual skills, ability to work in a team, and customer focus

IT WOULD BE OPTIMAL IF ..:
you have the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in an enterprise environment you have the most hands-on experience implementing Data Lake/Hadoop platforms
you have hands-on experience implementing and performance tuning Hadoop/Spark implementations
you have competencies in database architecture and operations such as MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL Experience with one or more relevant tools (Sqoop, Nifi, Kafka, Oozie, Hue, Zookeeper, HCatalog, Solr)
you have experience with one or more SQL MPP technologies (Hive, Impala, Spark SQL, Presto, Trino)
you have experience in developing software code in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, Scala, etc.) you have experience with AWS services such as Glue, EMR, Athena, Kinesis, S3, Sagemaker, Lambda functions
you have experience with Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, HD insights, Event Hub, ADLS, Azure ML Studio, Azure functions
you have customer facing skills to represent evoila well to customers and lead discussions with senior stakeholders on trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation
you speak fluent German and good English
