Modernization of the Eclipse IDE customizations: You transfer our existing functionality into new & modern customizations & tools. Migration to standard technologies: In your job you use current standard technologies such as Gradle. Ensuring developer productivity: You ensure that productivity remains high throughout the modernization process. Enabling the use of other IDEs: Through your work, you enable the use of other IDEs such as IntelliJ or VS Code in addition to our Eclipse-based IDE. Maintaining and updating the existing IDE: You keep the IDE up to date through continuous maintenance and updates. Contributing ideas to the Eclipse Foundation IDE Working Group: You will actively contribute ideas to our members in the Eclipse Foundation IDE Working Group. ProfileYou have several years of programming experience in Java. Improving the user-friendliness and performance of our development environment is important to you. Ideally you have experience with Gradle, Eclipse & JUnit. You have the ability to familiarize yourself quickly and efficiently with other people's code. You are characterized by an independent way of working. You have an affinity for the open source world. You have a good command of English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
